Infrared Thermography: For $175 extra, you will be booked with one of our advisors who has completed a training course and will spend up to 30 minutes showing you revealing pictures of your house when temperature differentials allow (works great in the winter and the summer if you have central AC but it won't work when the indoor and outdoor temperatures are similar). Electricity Audit: For $125 extra, an advisor will survey ALL the electrical devices in your home, and will produce a report that show where your electricity is going and the best ways of reducing your bill. For more info, click here.

If you have a fireplace or woodstove, please DO NOT USE IT 24 hours before our visit and please ensure that the DAMPER IS CLOSED and that all ASHES ARE REMOVED to avoid any chance of them being sucked into your house during the blower door test.

All exterior walls and ceilings must be intact and all doors and windows must be fully closed or otherwise sealed.

In order to perform a valid air leakage test, all drywall or plaster on all walls and ceilings must be intact, i.e. no big holes or missing pieces.

All window-mounted air conditioners should be removed before the visit (central air systems are OK).

Wood or pellet stoves and fireplaces must be fully extinguished.

Ashes should be removed from the hearth of open fireplaces.

The home must have electrical power and running water at the time of the evaluation.

The heating system is in place.
